Thickness is the key
The line is drawn by thickness. Molybdenum sheet is the thicker, structural form (roughly 0.2-2 mm), while foil is ultra-thin (around 0.025-0.1 mm) and flexible.
Where each is used
- Sheet — electronics, lighting, vacuum-furnace parts, masking
- Foil — seals, lamp parts, shielding, thin electronic layers
